This villa is situated 4 km from the centre of Carcassonne. It is a 13th Century listed building which has been restored with very good taste and no expense spared, retaining its original features. It was once home to the Benedictine monks who planted all the local vines, and the house at the entrance to the property is where the nuns resided. There are two parts to the property connected by an interior door. In High and Mid seasons the property is available for 10, and in Low season for 4. This is an excellent choice for a large group who wish to travel together but enjoy their own independence too; there are even two satellite TVs and two music systems - adequate to cater for all tastes! Domaine Pinsaguel is situated 3 km outside the pretty village of Montréal, deep in the countryside of the Malepère region, a protected area of outstanding natural beauty. At present the ‘Domaine’ villa consists of the owners’ quarters and the converted barn, not visible from the country lane, but overlooking the well cared for park and the heated swimming pool. Surrounding the villa are rolling wooded hills which are home to wildlife such as red squirrels and birds of prey, as well as masses of wild flowers, including orchids from February to June. In July the neighbouring fields are a storm of bright yellow sunflowers. From the pool are views up to the village which offers very good facilities, including a supermarket which is open until 7pm on Saturday and until noon on Sunday. There are also tennis courts and a lake for fishing. The villa sleeps up to 4 guests.

Pézènes-les-Mines is a small mediaeval village dominated by an impressive 12th century château. It is tucked away in a lovely wooded valley in the hills above the Faugères wine region.This attractive old villa is on the edge of the village looking across the little valley. It has been carefully restored (exposed beams and terracotta floors) and very comfortably furnished. The upstairs bedroom leads onto a private sunny terrace (shade can be provided by an awning). The bedroom has a huge ‘double’ bath - ideal for a cooling dip after soaking up the sun! The villa sleeps up to 4 guests.

On the edge of a typical Languadocian wine producing village, this tiny apartment is part of the owner's villa, separated by a shared utility room. It has its own terrace at the end of the driveway, with a covered parking area which also houses the barbecue. The pergola shown in the photo has now been enclosed and is for the sole use of the family and their friendly pet dog; our accommodation is to the left (not visible in the picture). Access to the shared pool and gardens (3000m2) is via the back of the house. The large pool is really delightful, with diving board, pool-side shower and tiled surround. As the swimming pool is available from the beginning of May, mid season prices will apply during this period. Aspiran offers basic facilities, including a village bar, and nearby there are a variety of restaurants. A visit to the medieavel town of Pezanas with its Saturday morning market is a must, and for those who enjoy Mediterranean beaches, the coast is only 35 km away.

Set amidst breathtaking scenery, offering a very good standard of accommodation, is this old stone watermill, enhanced by the soothing sound of water rushing through the millstream below, Mosset is a fortified hilltop village with approximately 250 inhabitants. The property is 1 km below in a valley.
The villa has a beautifully maintaned garden with fruit trees and lawns and a path that leads down to the mill race. It should be noted that there are some steep uneven stone steps from the parking area to the front entrance. An old mill stone under a shady tree makes a charming setting for ‘al fresco’ dining. Off this terrace is a very original old stone barbecue. The villa has been renovated with much artistic flair. The characterful interior is furnished in rustic style and the spacious white walls are hung with contemporary art.

This manor villa is situated on the edge of Prades, a bustling Pyrenean town renowned for its music festival which is held each year at the end of July until mid August.The villa is set in 2.4 hectares of gardens with an ornamental fountain, swings, cherry trees and a breathtaking view of Mt Canigou which dominates the Têt valley. The house is very spacious and the owners have furnished it comfortably for their own holidays. The very large drawing room has windows leading out on the south side to the garden, with a gravelled area and an enormous lawn and meadow; the pool is hidden behind shrubs to one side. On the north side, doors open onto the covered terrace with its Italian-style arches and pillars, looking over the park with big ancient trees shading the tennis court. The caretaker lives by the entrance gates. The villa sleeps up to 16 guests.
