This enchanting family house was once a barn and stable; the present owners have now completely renovated the ground floor to a high standard and are gradually re-decorating the bedrooms to bring them up to the same standard. The property is situated within six hectares, with a stream running either side of the house (small children should be watched but don’t forget the fishing rods!). The stable part of the house is now a very comfortable living area; the dining room and study are separated from the sitting room by a few stone steps, as is the other circular sitting area around the fireplace. A small cosy sitting room with fireplace is adjacent to a breakfast room which adjoins the kitchen. This region is particulary interesting for those who enjoy a varied holiday. The Spanish border is closeby and the beautiful coastal resort and spa town of Biarritz is a short drive away, although there are other pretty stretches of coast even nearer. For lovers of thrills and spills Biarritz offers an International Surf Festival in July, whilst for those who prefer a gentler sport, the area boasts several fine golf courses.
