Original apartment (50 m2) on the 2nd and top floor of a 13th century village house, perhaps the most important among the small villages of Isola Maggiore, a small island on lake Trasimeno with a surface area of just 24 ha and lived in by abt. 50 inhabitants. The village is divided into two by a large road, where the village life takes place. Small streets and paths accessible only by bicycle or on foot (there are no cars on the island), spread inland and along the side of the lake and which benefit from particularly evocative landscapes and the discovery of small churches, amongst which, that of San Francesco. The island is duly connected to the mainland (according to the season) via motor-boats (navigation time is 5 mins) several times a day and some local fishermen will ferry you across in exchange for a small fee. On the island, food shop and restaurant, small beach for bathing. Parking at Tuoro sul Trasimeno at 30 m from the pier (protected car park costs Euro 2/day, or public car park is free of charge).
