About the area of Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Bowser, and Fanny Bay

Centrally located on Vancouver Island, this area can truly be called "Oceanside," and with its almost flawless weather conditions it is an excellent year-round destination.

Superb scenery beckons from every viewpoint with ocean vistas and snow-capped mountains making a haven for those who appreciate the great outdoors as well as a location for travellers who want all the usual amenities of a nice relaxing getaway location.

To get to the area follow Highway 19 north and then take the exit marked by big blue highway signs alerting you to “Scenic Route Highway 19A”. You’ll be glad you did. Highway 19A is a very scenic drive and the traffic is light—this makes for a very relaxing drive.

Excellent and exciting day trips and the beaches offer hours of fun and excitement for everyone. The house is also driving distance (11/4 hours) from a scenic ski resort.

The Neighborhood

The residence is in a rural neighbourhood which is a predominately waterfront community encompassing Deep Bay, Bowser and Qualicum Bay. Within this neighbourhood are a mixture of waterfront cottages to custom waterfront homes, homes on upland acreages, waterfront resorts and campgrounds plus select commercial properties along the highway. Basic services and amenities are available within the small community of Bowser including a post office and liquor store, with major shopping available within Qualicum Beach, some five miles to the southeast.
